Based on Article 18, paragraph 1, item 6 and Article 22, paragraph 2 of the Act on Tourist Boards and the Promotion of Croatian Tourism (Official Gazette 52/19 and 42/20), Article 3 of the Ordinance on Special Conditions for Employees in Tourist Boards (Official Gazette 13/22), Article 25, item 6 and Article 41, paragraph 2 of the Statute of the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Vojnić (Official Gazette of the Municipality of Vojnić 07/2020), and the Decision of the Tourist Council of the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Vojnić on announcing a public competition for the position of Director of the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Vojnić adopted at the session held on 06 February 2026, the Tourist Council of the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Vojnić hereby announces a
PUBLIC COMPETITION
for the selection of a Director of the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Vojnić
for a mandate period of four years
In addition to the general requirements prescribed by the Labour Act (Official Gazette 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, 46/23, 64/23), candidates must meet the special requirements in accordance with Articles 21 and 23 of the Act on Tourist Boards and the Promotion of Croatian Tourism (Official Gazette 52/19 and 42/20), and Article 3 of the Ordinance on Special Conditions for Employees in Tourist Boards (Official Gazette 13/22):
- completed at least a professional undergraduate study programme or a university undergraduate study programme,
- at least two years of work experience in jobs corresponding to the level of education referred to in item 1, or one year of managerial experience in tourism,
- knowledge of one foreign language,
- computer literacy.
In addition to proof of meeting the above special requirements, when applying for the public competition the candidate shall submit a proposal for a four-year work programme of the tourist board, prepared on the basis of strategic documents relating to the area in which the tourist board operates.
Besides the conditions stated above, pursuant to Article 21, paragraph 3 of the Act on Tourist Boards and the Promotion of Croatian Tourism (Official Gazette 52/19 and 42/20), the director must meet the requirement that no final court judgment or misdemeanour decision has imposed a security or protective measure prohibiting the performance of economic activities for the duration of such measure.
In accordance with Article 23, paragraphs 1, 6 and 7 of the Act, the director of a tourist board must have passed the professional exam for work in a tourist board. A candidate who has not passed the professional exam may also apply and be appointed director, provided that they pass the exam within one year from the date of commencing work; otherwise, their employment will terminate on the last day of the deadline for passing the exam.
The application must contain:
- first and last name of the candidate,
- address,
- phone/mobile number and e-mail address,
- indication that it is an application for the stated competition,
- specification of enclosed documents (evidence),
- handwritten signature of the candidate.
Along with the signed application, candidates must submit:
- a CV, signed by hand,
- a copy of ID card or proof of Croatian citizenship,
- proof of education (copy of diploma, certificate or confirmation issued by a higher education institution),
- proof of at least two years of relevant work experience or one year of managerial experience in tourism — original or copy of the electronic record/certificate issued by the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute showing employment history and qualifications, and confirmation from a previous employer or other document (employment contract, decision, etc.) indicating work experience, duties and duration,
- a proposal of a four-year work programme of the tourist board prepared in accordance with strategic documents and methodology for annual work programmes,
- proof of knowledge of one foreign language (copy of certificate, diploma, transcript or signed statement),
- proof of having passed the professional exam for work in a tourist board (if applicable) or a statement that the candidate is not required to take it (note: in accordance with Article 23, paragraphs 5 and 6 of the Act, a person may be appointed director without having passed the exam if they pass it within one year of employment or if they possess appropriate qualifications and at least five years of work experience in tourism within that qualification level),
- proof of computer skills (copy of certificate, diploma or signed statement),
- the Tourist Council of the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Vojnić reserves the right to verify, through the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation of the Republic of Croatia, whether any legal impediment exists pursuant to Article 21, paragraph 3 of the Act.
The deadline for submitting applications is 10 days from the date of publication of the Public Competition on the website of the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Vojnić (www.tz-vojnic.hr).
Applications with required documentation shall be submitted in person or by post to:

Candidates shall submit all documents as uncertified copies and must present originals upon request of the Tourist Council.
The director will be appointed for a four-year mandate with full-time employment.
Persons of all genders have the right to apply under equal conditions.
Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
If no applications are received or no candidate is selected, the competition will be repeated.
The Tourist Council reserves the right not to select a director and to cancel the competition.
Candidates will be informed of the results in writing within 15 days from the adoption of the decision on the selection or on repeating the competition.
Terms used in this Competition that have gender meaning apply equally to male and female persons regardless of grammatical form.
